New to GYMPODS? Here’s how registration, the Taster Pack and payments work.
GYMPODS is a private gym concept with two locations in London — Dalston and Putney. Instead of a traditional open gym floor, each session takes place in your own fully equipped POD. The space is yours for the duration of your booking. No crowds, no queues, no sharing equipment. Named one of the ‘Best 5 Gyms UK’ by ClassPass in 2023 and described by Men’s Fitness as “the solution to gym-timidation”.
No. GYMPODS is an independent London fitness concept, with private gym pods in Putney and Dalston.
We are not connected to The Gym Pod in Chicago, Gympod in Singapore, or any similarly named tripod, camera or fitness products. Reviews, locations, pricing, app feedback or complaints for those businesses do not apply to GYMPODS.

You must be 18 or older to hold a GYMPODS account. Anyone under 18 training at GYMPODS must be supervised by a GYMPODS registered personal trainer at all times. For specific queries, email info@gympods.com.
This is available to all new GYMPODS users (excluding PTs), one per person. After registration, either select Taster Pack from your account or when you first book, choose the Taster Pack option at the payment step.
Our online payments are collected through the Stripe secure payment system. GYMPODS (The FIT POD Company Limited) do not store any payment details. The system will advise when credits are needed, packages available and how many credits to secure your bookings. You can top up your credit balance in your My Pods account at any time.
Yes. GYMPODS is a no contract gym. Buy credits and book when you want. If you’d prefer to save with a monthly plan, the subscription (via direct debit) is cancel-anytime too. No lock-in, no joining fees, no commitment.
Absolutely. Every session is in your own private POD, so there’s no shared floor, no one watching, and no pressure. If gym anxiety or intimidation has held you back, GYMPODS removes all of that.
Booking & credits
How credits work across different POD types, what to expect when you arrive, and how monthly plans and credit expiry work.
Sessions start from as little as £4.50 through our credit system. Cardio PODs (30 minutes) use 1 credit, while Strength, Power and Holistic PODs (60 minutes) use 3 credits. Pay as you go, or choose a monthly plan for better value. New to GYMPODS? Our best value Taster Pack is 6 credits for £18 — two full Strength sessions or six Cardio sessions. Yes. If a POD is available, you can book instantly online or in the app. Our 24/7 WhatsApp support is also on hand to help with availability — message us on +44 20 8058 2710. If you cannot book the POD date and time you want, add yourself to the waiting list online or in the app. If the POD becomes available, you will receive a WhatsApp message: just reply YES to book. This is first-come-first-served — if you miss out, add yourself again.
Yes. The Strength, Power and Holistic Reformer PODs require 3 credits for 60 mins. The cardio PODs are booked in 30 min slots, 1 credit for each slot.
Our system will send a confirmation email for each successful booking or cancellation. You can double check your bookings in your My Pods account. A booking reminder is sent 24 hours before your booking.
Yes. The reception team will check your booking and allocate a POD each time. We cannot guarantee which POD number is available, only the POD type as per your booking, but we will accommodate requests when possible.
Yes, you can mix and match as you wish with credits. For example, you can book a Strength POD and add a cardio session before, during or after — 4 credits. Cardio slots could be 1 hour, back-to-back bookings, requiring 2 credits.
Yes, we have a buddy system. It is an extra £7.00 payable at reception or 1 credit online. Every Wednesday is Friends-day — free buddy with every booking (excluding PTs). ClassPass and Wellhub (formerly Gympass) bookings — pay at reception each time.
Yes. GYMPODS is available through our partners at ClassPass and Wellhub (formerly Gympass). Book through those platforms directly. If you’re bringing a buddy on a ClassPass or Wellhub booking, pay the buddy fee at reception. ClassPass and Wellhub sessions sit alongside your GYMPODS credits — there’s no conflict.
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are handled by Stripe — GYMPODS does not store your card details.
Yes. Credits work at both GYMPODS Dalston and GYMPODS Putney.
All unused packages will expire 6 months after the purchase date. All monthly plan credits expire at the end of each renewal period, meaning that unused credits will not roll over into the following month.
No. All credits are personal to the account. The account or credits cannot be shared.
No, credits do not roll over. The plan automatically resets the account to the advertised credits total each month. If you run out, credit packages can be added on those terms. Our system recognises these have a six-month expiry and will use the ‘monthly plan top-up credits’ first for new bookings after they renew each month.
Just go to your account in My Pods and cancel from there. It will cancel the subscription at the end of the current billing period. Any remaining credits can only be used within the subscription period end date. For exceptional circumstances, membership can be paused in one-month blocks up to three months — contact info@gympods.com for more information.
PODs & equipment
What’s in each POD type, how private each POD is, and what you can control within your session.
It depends on the POD type. Holistic PODs are fully enclosed for complete privacy — ideal for Reformer Pilates, yoga or mobility work. Strength and Power PODs are visually private up to around 2 metres, which keeps airflow and creates a focused training atmosphere without feeling boxed in. Cardio PODs are private from the front — you enter from the back — so your screen and your workout stay yours. Every POD is yours alone for the duration of your booking.
The Strength POD is built for serious resistance training. Each POD includes a half rack with adjustable bench, Olympic barbell and plates, hex dumbbells up to 30kg, a dual assisted pulley with dip bar and lat pulldown, kettlebells, rep bars, resistance bands, core bags, TRX, Olympic rings, Revvll One endless rope and a HIIT Bike. You can view all equipment for each POD on each location page. Leg press and leg extension/curl machines are also available during your session.
The Power POD is designed for dynamic, athletic training. Each POD includes a half rack with adjustable bench, Olympic barbell and plates, hex dumbbells up to 30kg, kettlebells, an integrated Smith machine, SkiErg, wall ball target, freestanding punchbag, HIIT Bike, TRX, Olympic rings, and resistance bands. You can view all equipment for each POD on each location page. Leg press and leg extension/curl machines are also available during your session.
Cardio is split into dedicated Run, Cycle and StairMaster PODs. The Run POD features the Echelon Stride-9S Pro Treadmill with on-demand workouts, scenic runs and even gamification. The Cycle POD includes a Peloton Bike+ with access to thousands of live and on-demand classes plus the Lanebreak feature (no Peloton membership required). The StairMaster POD has the StairMaster Gauntlet StepMill with OpenHub. All Cardio PODs are 30-minute slots, booked with 1 credit.
The Holistic POD is a private studio-style space designed for Reformer Pilates, yoga and mat work. GYMPODS Dalston features the Peak PilateSystem® Deluxe reformer. GYMPODS Putney features the Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformer. Both PODs include a reformer box, reformer straps, Pilates ring, Pilates ball, yoga blocks, yoga mat, hand weights, deep tissue rollers and a Swiss ball. Each POD has independent temperature control, a 32-inch touchscreen for streaming classes, and Bluetooth music connectivity.
The Holistic PODs have independent temperature control, a 32-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth music connectivity, so you can play your own playlists. Strength, Power and Cardio PODs have shared climate control and USB charging, and you’re welcome to bring your own headphones. If you have specific sensory requirements — lighting, sound or temperature — just ask the team at reception and we’ll do what we can to accommodate.
Facilities & support
Staffing, showers, bike storage, WiFi, the app, and how to get help.
Yes. Both GYMPODS Dalston and GYMPODS Putney have a reception team on site throughout opening hours. If you need help with your booking, your POD, the equipment or anything else during your visit, there is always someone to ask. (Some private gym concepts are unmanned — GYMPODS is not.) Outside staffed hours, our 24/7 WhatsApp support is on +44 20 8058 2710.
Yes. Both locations have fibre WiFi throughout, and USB-A and USB-C charging ports in every POD. Useful whether you are streaming a class, running your own programme, or a personal trainer working with a client.
Yes. Both GYMPODS Dalston and GYMPODS Putney have secure bike racks on site.
Yes. This is for security and the system is secure, not monitored or shared with anyone. Access to the system is strictly controlled and footage is only accessible by senior management.
We keep all lost property we find for 3 months before disposal, if not claimed.
Yes, this is £1.75 per towel hire. Please bring your own shower gel, soap, etc. A hairdryer is available to use in the “quick change” rooms — ask at reception. For more information, please call the gym on 020 4547 3964 or email info@gympods.com.
The GYMPODS app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Once you have registered, you can book PODs, manage your credits, set up or cancel a monthly plan and manage bookings directly from the app.
You can delete your account in the My Pods section. Alternatively, email info@gympods.com and we will process the request. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us to delete your personal data held on the GYMPODS system. Your bookings, payment history and credits will be deleted and the data cannot be recovered afterwards.
Cancellations & refunds
Our cancellation policy, how to move a booking you’ve already made, and how refunds work.
All PODs must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the booking time or you will lose the credits. If you cancel correctly, the credits are added back to your account automatically. If you do not show for your POD or cancel with less than one hour’s notice, the POD credits are lost plus an additional ‘penalty’ credit. To cancel, go to your My Pods account and cancel the booking. We encourage everyone to cancel with as much notice as possible to give the whole GYMPODS community the opportunity to book released PODs.
Yes, but you must follow the cancellation and booking policy otherwise you will lose the original booking credits. In My Pods, cancel the POD you do not want, then rebook the POD you do want. If you have an emergency, call the club (Dalston: 020 4547 3964 or Putney: 020 4597 6188) and we will do our best to assist with rescheduling, but we cannot guarantee this. Booking amendments through ClassPass or Wellhub must be completed through them.
Provided you follow the cancellation policy (at least 12 hours notice), your credits will be automatically added back to your monthly plan allowance or your packages. Otherwise, you lose the credits as per our terms and conditions. Please note — GYMPODS cannot cancel or move bookings, the account holder needs to do this in their My Pods account. Call the club if you need help.
Credit packages and monthly plans are non-refundable once purchased. Any unused credits stay on your account until their expiry date even if you cancel a monthly plan. If you believe something has gone wrong with a purchase, email info@gympods.com and we’ll review it on a case-by-case basis.
